About Us
The mission of Verbum Dei High School is to offer an affordable, socially aware, faith-and-values-based college preparatory education to inner-city boys from low-income families. In the Catholic educational tradition of the Divine Word Missionaries and the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), Verbum Dei aims to develop informed, skilled, critically thinking, eloquent, and compassionate leaders who will not only make it in society, but will make their mark on society, and use their God-given intelligence and talents in the service of others.
