    Established in 2007, the Institute for International Law and Human Rights (IILHR) is committed to strengthening democracy and respect for human rights in Iraq. Our mission is to develop and sustain rights-based laws and policies in cooperation with governments, judges, civil society organizations, and other local stakeholders. We offer practical, collaborative, and responsive assistance with drafting effective legislation, ensuring judicial transparency and accountability, and fostering grassroots democratic engagement.
