    Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. DogFest is Canine Companions for Independence’s national signature event that engages communities across the country. The event raises money and encourages volunteers to support the mission and educate the public about the organization’s life-changing work of providing exceptional dogs for exceptional people.
