Seeds of Learning

  • About Us

Organization Summary: Seeds of Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to education in Central America as well as cross-cultural understanding. We work with communities in rural Nicaragua to construct classrooms and learning centers, and to provide educational programs. We also facilitate 15-20 volunteer work groups each year from the US and Canada to Nicaragua. We have a staff of 22 people (3 in the US, 1 in El Salvador, and 18 full and part time in Nicaragua) who oversee the programs, fundraising, and management of the organization. Our donor base is primarily individuals and our annual budget is over $800,000, which comes from work group fee revenue as well as donations, events, appeals, and pledges.
