  • About Us

PBI Colombia is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) recognised by the United Nations as an NGO associate, which maintains teams of international observers/accompaniers in Colombia since 1994. PBI always works at the invitation of Human Rights organisations in the field. Our objective is to protect the political space of those human rights defenders who suffer repression as a result of their non-violent work in defence of Human Rights. PBI operates within the framework of International Humanitarian Law and of the principles of non-violence and is not affiliated to any religious or political institution. We actually have four sub-teams in four different regions of Colombia (Bogota, Medellin, Uraba and Magdalena Medio).
