  • About Us

Cradle of Hope Adoption Center, Inc. (CHAC) is a licensed, nonprofit adoption agency located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Founded in 1990 by adoptive parents, we have placed more than 2,700 children from the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America. We currently have active programs in Russia, China, and Guatemala. We can work with Americans both in the U.S. and abroad, as well as residents of many other countries. Our primary purpose is to find nurturing, secure, and permanent homes for foreign-born orphans. We are committed to sound social service principles, ensuring that our adoptive families receive comprehensive counseling, preparation, and support throughout the adoption process.
