Parsons Scholars Pre-College Program

  • About Us

As part of the pre-college programs at Parsons the New School for Design, the Parsons Scholars Program, a three-year college preparation program in visual art and design, enables high school students from New York City public schools to study design at the college level.

During their time as Parsons Scholars, students attend a range of classes in the ParsonsPre-College Academy and Summer Intensive Studies program throughout their sophomore, junior and senior year of high school. To complement academic study, the Scholars program provides additional programming to increase Scholars' awareness of college and career options by exploring a range of visual art and design careers, and acquiring the tools and knowledge necessary to gain admittance to and achieve success at colleges of art and design.
