Rainforest Flow

Mission: Rainforest Flow is committed to helping indigenous communities remain vibrant and independent by working with them to build and maintain their own sustainable clean water and sanitation systems. Combined with health education, technical/vocational training, and monitoring, we can guarantee participation, and thus the sustainability of these water, sanitation and health (WASH) projects. This greatly contributes to the health of these communities, enabling them to flourish, and protect themselves from outside economic interests and cultural erosion.

Methodology: Rainforest Flow implements efficient, low-maintenance water and sanitation systems while facilitating the development of hygiene and maintenance practices to produce sustainable long-term change. Each family participates in the building of the water and sanitation infrastructure, and their home sink. We work at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure project sustainability while building partnerships with community organizations, local municipalities, health and social service agencies, and ministries to ensure lasting benefits.
