    Meridian International Center, founded in 1960, is a leading non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening international understanding through the exchange of people, ideas and culture. In the spring of 2010, Meridian launched VOLiNTEER, a new international non-governmental, non-profit knowledge network, connecting leaders from over 97 countries to collaborate on best practices and grow their effectiveness in their home countries. This organization is dedicated to enhancing the development of social entrepreneurship movements focused on “high impact volunteering” through a knowledge network that combines “peer-to-peer” leadership exchange with online access to a marketplace of ideas and resources.
