  • About Us

Evanston Scholars (www.evanstonscholars.org) is a non-profit organization that improves college access and success for a diverse group of ambitious Evanston students who are traditionally first generation college entrants, low-income, and students of color, starting with the college admissions process and continuing until graduation. The comprehensive, six-year program offers workshop, mentors, ACT prep, and college counseling to support students with financial and/or academic needs. The goal is to get Scholars to and through college. The organization, which started in 2011, currently serves 103 students, with 29 Scholars recently inducted in January 2015.
