    The Louisiana SPCA is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals and to the promotion of respect and humane care for animals. In support thereof, the Louisiana SPCA is committed to:

    · Promoting and supporting positions that have a positive impact on the quality of life for animals;

    · Educating the public regarding responsible pet ownership and respect for animal life;

    · Providing shelter for stray, homeless and unwanted animals, promoting the adoption of animals and seeking to reunite lost pets and their owners, and

    · Securing basic medical services for animals in need.
