    Mission

Junior Achievement (JA) seeks to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by empowering youth to own their economic success. Junior Achievement maintains an active vision, front and center on how we can have a positive impact on the lives of more students and is guided by our core values: Belief in the boundless potential of young people, commitment to the principles of market-based economics and entrepreneurship, passion for what we do and honesty, integrity and excellence in how we do it, respect for the talents, creativity, perspectives and backgrounds of all individuals, belief in the power of partnerships and collaboration and conviction in the educational and motivational impact of relevant, hands-on learning.

    Organizational Overview

Nearly a century old, JA is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Chartered in 1958, Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (JACC) is licensed to offer JA programming in 53 counties in North and South Carolina. Each year, JACC leverages more than 4,000 volunteers from local business communities to provide JA programming to approximately 45,000 students.
