  • About Us

Guild Hall is a storied arts institution founded in 1931 on Main Street, East Hampton Village. Housed in the original Beaux Arts building where summer stock plays, musicales, and Modern art exhibitions took place, Guild Hall holds a significant place in American art and theater history for having supported the early careers of legendary figures like painter Jackson Pollock and playwright Tennessee Williams. Now approaching its 90th year, Guild Hall is in the midst of dramatic growth, adapting to widening platforms for arts and culture, and a new generation of arts patrons. Guild Hall’s Board and Staff are vigorously engaged and committed to creating an institution for the future while remaining true to Guild Hall’s founding principal that the arts are essential to civic life.
