St. Ignatius Middle School

  • About Us

St. Ignatius School is a successful, tuition free Jesuit middle school located in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx, serving families in one of New York’s most impoverished neighborhoods. We educate promising children from low-income, underserved families, regardless of religious denomination. Our rigorous and disciplined academic program recognizes each student’s unique gifts, challenges, needs and potential.

St. Ignatius School admits students who are considered “at-risk” because of social, academic, economic, and/or family circumstances. We serve a diverse student body of 85 sixth, seventh, and eighth graders and support them in achieving their goals through high school and beyond.
