  • About Us

The primary function of the Fauna Foundation is as a protected environment for neglected, abused farm and domestic animals, and as a sanctuary for former biomedical research chimpanzees. Through educational programs and speaking engagements, Fauna strives to foster a better understanding of these creatures.

The Fauna Foundation's main activities include providing sanctuary for former biomedical research chimpanzees; maintaining a farm animal sanctuary; conducting educational programs focused on chimpanzees in entertainment and biomedical research; and a land reclamation and wetland restoration program to contribute towards a Green Corridor between southern Quebec and the US.
