  • About Us

The Washington Literacy Center (WLC) is the re-entry point into education for adults who struggle to read. The program is designed for adults who need to improve their basic reading and math skills. The WLC focuses on the whole student with the goal of moving students toward employment, improvement in their current jobs or continuing their education. Individual tutoring is available to support classroom instruction. WLC students can also participate in classes and enrichment opportunities in workforce skills, basic computer skills, and financial literacy skills. We raise our student's competency to a place where they can improve the quality of life for themselves and their families.
