Kathy Wilson Foundation

  • About Us

The Kathy Wilson Foundation is an Alexandria, VA based family foundation formed to honor the memory of its namesake, Kathy Wilson. Kathy was a fierce advocate for young children of all abilities in her roles as preschool director, early childhood teacher, and inspirational leader. The Foundation supports services that benefit young children with differing abilities and their families. The primary initiative of the Foundation is its early childhood Developmental Screening Project, to identify preschool age children who might have a developmental delay and connect them to further community resources.  The Foundation also provides strategic funding for the Center for Alexandria’s Children’s (CAC) “Learn and Playgroups” program.
