  • About Us

Search and Care is a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help frail and isolated older people live safely and independently in their own homes.

Professional social workers, assisted by student interns and volunteers, visit and coordinate services for those who need help in managing and in accessing the medical and social services to which they are entitled. The agency also functions as a substitute family for isolated clients who need companionship and a community based network of support.

Our service area includes: Carnegie Hill, Yorkville and East Harlem (East 86th St. - East 138th St. - East River to Fifth Avenue).
