The World Peace Cafe aims to enhance and serve the community by providing a serene atmosphere where people can enjoy healthy, delicious food served by an attentive and caring volunteer staff dedicated to the Buddhist principles of peace, happiness, and concern for all living beings. Understanding that without inner peace, outer peace is impossible, the Cafe hopes to serve as a place of refuge which will inspire peace and happiness in its customers. This in turn will naturally bring goodwill and harmony to the community. Through developing peace in our own minds and within our local community we are building the necessary foundation for peace in the world. This is the actual meaning behind the name World Peace Cafe.
