The British Council Argentina

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. We create friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and other countries. We do this by making a positive contribution to the UK and the countries we work with – changing lives by creating opportunities, building connections and engendering trust.

The Buenos Aires Remote Teaching Centre (RTC) is the British Council’s global flagship hub for remote teaching. Its state-of-the-art facilities and expert teachers offer a high-quality innovative learning experience. Remote teaching involves the teacher being based in a different physical location from the learners. It is real time computer-mediated ‘face to face’ teaching. We teach through video conferencing from the RTC and homebased, via a virtual classroom environment using British Council produced and other materials and a broad range of technologies. Learners can join our lessons from any location and device -from dedicated videoconferencing equipment to smartphones and anything in between. We deliver projects in Argentina, Uruguay and throughout the Americas.
