About Us
The Holiday Project is a national non-profit organization of volunteers visiting people confined in nursing homes, hospitals, prisons and other institutions during Christmas, Chanukah and other holidays throughout the year. The mission of The Holiday Project is to communicate the opportunity to visit people in institutions and provide leadership to volunteers to do visits. Our visits create an opening for people, no matter who they are, to communicate in a new way, to celebrate each other and to experience each other's magnificence. People celebrating people - the holiday season can last for 365 days a year.
The visits also alter the way we experience and relate to institutions in our communities. Our vision is making visits to people in institutions an intregal part of America's holiday experience.
