    The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (the “Nabe”) is a Black-led, multi-purpose, multi-generational community center in continuous operation for over a century. Since its inception in 1907, the Nabe has responded to the ever-changing needs of the diverse population in San Francisco and maintains a special commitment to the southeast sector communities. Our mission is to serve those most in need from the cradle to the grave, with an emphasis on youth and education. Programs include:

    • After school and summer youth programs
    • Case management and counseling services for court-involved and at-risk youth
    • Peer counseling for incarcerated youth 
    • A weekly food pantry
    • Tai chi and yoga classes
    • Community meals, neighborhood festivals, and much more
