    Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) is an international membership organization of over 1,300 parliament members from 111 countries around the world. Established in 1979 by a group of concerned parliamentarians, PGA unites elected national government representatives to take action on global problems that cannot be solved by any one government or parliament. While its initial focus was on disarmament issues, PGA is currently working on advancing democracy, sustainable development and population, the empowerment of women, economic reform, international law and peace-keeping.
