Strong Schools Maryland

Strong Schools Maryland was founded in direct response to the 2016 formation of the Kirwan Commission, which made recommendations that eventually became the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. We successfully leveraged the power of tens of thousands of Marylanders, through our Teams of 10 model, over a multi-year campaign to make critical investments and policy changes  in the state’s public schools to advance educational equity. In 2021, we made a strategic shift to monitor the implementation of the Blueprint over its 10 year lifespan. Now, Strong Schools Maryland exists to advocate, build power, and share resources with invested Maryland residents in support of strong public schools that produce graduates equipped to thrive.
