    St. Lydia's is a church where life is lived out around the table, a progressive LGBTQ-affirming congregation in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn working together to dispel isolation, reconnect neighbors, and subvert the status quo.

    About Us

    St. Lydia’s is a 16-year old progressive Lutheran congregation located in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We currently host Dinner Church Services (worship that takes place around a sacred meal) once a week, and once monthly Waffle Church.

    In addition to hosting worship and events related to congregational life, St. Lydia’s operations as a community center and event space for neighbors, small businesses, artists, and beyond.
