About Us
Foodshare works to end hunger as part of the overall community effort to alleviate poverty in Greater Hartford.
This is accomplished by collecting and distributing donations of food, most of which would otherwise be wasted, to organizations that help hungry and food insecure people, while educating people as to the causes and potential solutions and engaging them in the work of building a community where hunger and poverty are unacceptable.
Foodshare is affiliated with the Feeding America network.
