About Us
Shepherd's Table's mission is to improve quality of life, create a pathway towards self-sufficiency, and inspire hope for the most vulnerable experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, and poverty. We welcome all to our community table for meals and access to social services, provided with compassion and respect.
We are the DC Metro Area's only provider of hot, nutritious meals every day of the week, 365 days a year to the homeless and food insecure of the area. Last year we served over 100,000 meals to over 2,500 people. We couple our meal program with a Resource Center which provides referrals, clothing, toiletries, blankets, mail service, access to legal services, assistance with filling prescription medicines and the region's only eye clinic for the homeless.
