About Us
Puentes New Orleans, Inc. was founded in 2007 as the first community development organization to address the needs of the growing Latino population in the Greater New Orleans area. It was created to encourage, promote, and advance the integration of Hispanics in the areas of housing, cultural, educational and economic development. PNOInc also generates research and advocacy activities.
The LatiNola initiative of PNOInc addresses the importance of community involvement among the members of the Latino population of New Orleans. The goal of LatiNola is to encourage Latinos to become civically engaged, primarily by volunteering with community organizations and registering to vote.
