The Children's Museum in Easton

  • About Us

OUR MISSION: TO INSPIRE A LIFE -LONG LOVE OF LEARNING THROUGH HANDS-ON PLAY.

The Children's Museum in Easton was founded in 1991 on the principle that play and hands-on learning is critically important to successful child development.

Since then, research has demonstrated time and again that play is directly linked to the development of physical, cognitive and emotional strengths and even more, to higher-level skills such as critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and collaboration - all of which are connected to academic and professional achievement.

With childhood becoming increasingly digital, sedentary and, in some cases isolated, we believe early and continued access to social, hands-on play is more important than ever. As a result, we have doubled-down on our commitment to kids and parents and play. Play is more than fun, it is a child's job!

    Who We Serve and How

The Museum is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Every year 50,000 children and caregivers walk through our big green doors and an additional 8,000 early learners benefit from our mobile science on the go programs delivered in partnership with schools, churches, PTOs, homeless shelters and other community organizations.

This impact is not delivered based on admission and membership revenue alone. We rely on the partnership of individual, corporate and foundation supporters to bring our mission to life and to ensure all kids have access to the magic and lifelong benefit of play.
