  • About Us

Connected Psychology is dedicated to serving Washington, DC’s most in need. We are committed to facilitating the development of individuals, families, and communities by providing mental health services that address the psychological needs of individuals, who face the impact of poverty and chronic trauma, daily.

Children spend 6 to 8 hours a day, five days a week, in school. Connected Psychology has partnered with schools in Washington, DC to provide in-school services, granting our clinicians the opportunity to have a direct impact on the child’s environment.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering services on site and off site throught Telehealth. Teletherapy has given us a unique opportunity to work more closely with families by providing both parenting support and individual therapy to students’ family members. Furthermore, teletherapy has given us the flexibility and platform to branch out to working with other populations within Washington, DC communities, including all age ranges.

    How do we support kids?

    • Meet individually once or twice a week
    • Classroom observations

    • Teacher and staff consultation
    • Psychoeducation for parents and teachers
    • Individual treatment plans based on the developmental stages

What we focus on as clinicians?

    • Supporting the developmental process of each client
    • Emphasizing clients’ personal and social strengths
    • Working in collaboration with school staff and families
    • Creating a supportive environment that allows the child to meet their potential

    What do we value?

    • The understanding that all humans, including ourselves, are beings in development who are capable of growth and change
    • The ability to think, speak, and act independently and with integrity
    • Taking personal responsibility for ourselves and our circumstances
    • Challenging and disrupting the psychological status quo
    • Empowering ourselves and others with the knowledge and resources to change the world
