  • About Us

BHUCA's mission is to use the Arts, Culture, and Career Building resources to assist refugees from Bosnia and other parts of Former Yugoslavia in coping with their emotional battles and cultural adjustment, following war, displacement and resettlement. BHUCA taps into the Arts and Culture and the rich past of Bosnia & Herzegovina that the refugees knew and loved before the war in order to restore the spirit of the refugee community. BHUCA named this therapy Culture Therapy. A further aim is to educate the wider American community about the needs, experiences and history of this refugee population.
