    Seattle Central overlooks downtown Seatlle from Capitol Hill, one of the liveliest neighborshoods in the city. Seattle Central is the city's first community college and has educated more than 600,000 students since 1966.

    Seattle Central was Time Magazine's "College of the Year" in 2001 and in 2007 was included in the New York Times as one the nation's best places for transfer students attend.

    Seattle Central offers hands-on training in more than 30 professional/technical programs. The college is well known for its diversity; About half our students are students of color and/or first-generation college students. Our students come from all walks of life and more than 50 nations.
