Georgetown University Law Center Experiential Education Office

  • About Us

Georgetown University Law Center's Experiential Education Office oversees our top-rated experiential learning programs that allow our students to take classroom theory and apply it to real-life legal challenges right here in Washington, D.C. — immersing themselves in public policy, corporate, civil and criminal law.

Our focus on hands-on learning starts from the very first year of our J.D. program, with our in-house legal simulations, and it becomes an essential part of our second- and third-year students’ academic curriculum.

In fact, Georgetown Law guarantees opportunities to earn credits while seeing the law in action every semester. These include externships, project-based practicum courses and work in our 19 legal clinics — where we continue our Jesuit tradition of social justice and service to others.
