Staten Island Community Charter School (SICCS) is a New York State-approved public charter school founded by parents, grandparents and educators who wanted a broader range of school choices for children. SICCS opened its doors at the start of the 2010-11 school year with a total of 100 students in three kindergarten classes of 25 children each, and one first-grade class of 25. SICCS will increase its enrollment each year until the school reaches full enrollment at 450 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. SICCS is governed by a board of trustees, most of whom live in the same neighborhoods as our students.
