About Us
Reasoning Mind (RM) is a low-cost, nationally scalable solution to the three most pressing problems in K-12 math education: human capital, curriculum quality, and student engagement. RM partners with schools where student use the RM system during the school day, in the time set aside for mathematics instruction. Each student learns mathematical theory and solves problems at his or her own computer – and consequently, at his or her own rate. Gifted children aren’t held back, and struggling children aren’t left behind. The teacher is freed to work with students one-on-one or in small groups.
RM was founded in 2000 and while they are classified as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, they operate like a for-profit startup social enterprise and are working towards 100% self-sufficiency. Today, RM is serving about 70,000 students.
