Chicago Public Art Group
About Us
In 1971 a group of activist artists organized to form the Chicago Mural Group, later renamed the Chicago Public Art Group (CPAG). CPAG’s mission is to unite artists and communities in partnerships to produce high-quality public art, and to expand the tradition of collaborative, community-involved public artwork. What began as a mural-based cooperative has broadened to include mosaics, sculpture, landscape design, as well as workshops and symposia. CPAG is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
