  • About Us

Collective Aid is run by a flexible core team of long-term volunteers, supported by a dynamic and ever-changing group of short-term volunteers from all around the globe. All of us are committed to bring dignity and care to refugees and other displaced people across Europe.

Our lasting mission is to observe and act, to always be ready to fill the gaps left by other aid actors, to collaborate with anyone who shares our aim of making life better for people living as refugees across Europe; but most importantly: to always work in solidarity and respect.

In September 2019, we took over the largest material aid operation in Northern France. With support from Choose Love - then known as Help Refugees - and L’Auberge des Migrants, we took what we’ve learned in the Balkans and adapted our knowledge to meet the specific needs of the populations in the region.

With around 1,500 displaced people sleeping rough in and around Calais, that are only made worse by daily police evictions, we joined other grassroots organisations currently on the ground to distribute life-saving aid across sites in Dunkirk and Calais.

We distribute thousands of non-food items every month. Clothing, tents, sleeping bags, and shoes, all to people who urgently need them.
