Deaglan for Congress

  • About Us

Deaglan McEachern, a New Hampshire native, is a businessman working in the technology sector. He lives in Portsmouth with his wife, Lori and daughter, Tiernan across the street from the house his grandfather built in 1940.

In 2014, after working in both San Francisco and New York, McEachern returned back to New Hampshire with his family. McEachern believes New Hampshire is an ideal spot for businesses looking to launch and grow and has advocated to encourage business growth in the state.

Before working in the technology sector, Deaglan spent 10 years on the United States rowing team where he represented the United States at the World Championship level. During this time, Deaglan received his Masters degree in History from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. At Cambridge, Deaglan was elected President of the rowing team, where he led the University to victory against Oxford in the famous “Boat Race” in 2010. Deaglan received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and attended high school at Phillips Exeter Academy.

Deaglan is co-founder of New Hampshire for Amazon, a community movement that pushed for the Granite State to compete to house Amazon’s second headquarters. McEachern describes the initiative, which spurred huge community support, as an effort to help position New Hampshire as a state open to new business while highlighting the need for rail and education investments. Deaglan also co-founded New Hampshire Business Owners, an organization that seeks to make it easier to start and run a small business in New Hampshire. In two years, its membership has grown to nearly 2000 business owners.

A lifelong Democrat and son of Paul and Shaun McEachern of Portsmouth, Deaglan seeks a run for Congress with the belief that government can and should be a force of good for all Americans. As Americans, we are stronger when we pull together.
