  • About Us

Founded in 1871, the Baltimore Chapter of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the third oldest in the country. AIA Baltimore inspires and empowers architects and designers throughout the Baltimore region to engage with communities to improve society and transform the world through the built environment. We drive positive change through the power of design and focused activism.

The Baltimore Architecture Foundation, founded in 1987, BAF encourages people to explore Baltimore’s architectural history and future through tours, lectures, educational programs for adults and kids, exhibitions, research, and publications.

Both AIA Baltimore and BAF celebrate design and the built environment.
