Justice Action Center (JAC) is a nonprofit, incorporated in February 2019. Now in its second year of operation, Justice Action Center is building an innovative model that advances the civil and human rights of immigrants in the United States through a combination of impact litigation, communications and digital strategies, and providing related support to select partner nonprofit organizations that have immigrant members or provide direct legal services to immigrant communities. JAC’s guiding principle in selecting work is to make the unseen problems and issues seen and to provide additional litigation and communications person power to address needs that are currently unmet or to lend support in underserved locations.
JAC’s activities are grounded in three distinct yet interconnected strategies:
§ Litigate in areas and on subjects where there is unmet need.
§ Deploy co-equal narrative and impact litigation strategies.
§ Partner at the idea development level with other nonprofits, including direct legal service providers and organizers, to elevate movement impact.
