Juventas New Music Ensemble

  • About Us

Juventas is a contemporary chamber ensemble with a special focus on emerging composers and the millennial generation. Juventas:

    1. Shares classical music as a vibrant, living art form. The composers we program live in today’s world and represent a diverse spectrum of genders, races, faiths and nationalities.
    2. Programs music that is resonant with our time.
    3. Advances the careers of emerging composers with top-notch professional performances that share their work in the best possible light.

Founded in 2005, Juventas has performed works from over 200 composers through productions that showcase new music through artistically collaborative concerts. Juventas has received awards from the National Council for the Arts, Cambridge Arts Council, and the Harvard Musical Association, and our opera productions have received recognition from The American Prize, National Opera Association, and New York City Fringe Festival. The ensemble has held residencies at Boston Conservatory, Harvard University, Longy School of Music, and Middlebury College, and has performed on recordings with Innova Recordings, Parma Records, and New Dynamic Records.
