    9-1-1 for Kids (9-1-1) is an international education program of Athletes & Entertainers for Kids (AEFK). AEFK was founded in 1986 by Fox NFL Show analyst, Howie Long and retired USC Athletics media director Elise Kim. Since its inception AEFK has provided educational & mentoring services to over 500,000 youth. 9-1-1 was created in 1990 by one of AEFK's graduate interns who was working with GTE. The mission of 9-1-1 is to reduce emergency-response misuse through classroom & community based caller training education. 9-1-1 is endorsed by the FCC, NENA (Natl. Emergency Number Assn.), APCO (Association of Public Safety Communication Officials), NASNA (Natl. Assn. of State Nine-One-One Administrators), and the NG-911 Institute.
