Next Move (previously named Sacramento Area Emergency Housing Center)

  • About Us

This nonprofit organization was established in 1972 to provide shelter and support services for parents with children and for single women experiencing homelessness. We currently serve 600 individuals each day in 17 different programs. Next Move's goals are two-fold: to care for families who have little or no money and are experiencing emergency situations; and to assist them in ending their period of homelessness and help them become self-reliant.
