About Us
Founded nearly 20 years ago as a non-profit organization, Sophia’s Hearth has been a North American pioneer and leader in Waldorf early childhood education. Sophia’s Hearth draws from Waldorf education and the Pikler philosophy in working with young children and families while providing three distinct but complementary programs: full time year round early education for infancy through preschool, parent-child classes, and a WECAN recognized Waldorf training for early childhood teachers.
