Humane League of Lancaster County

The Humane League of Lan­caster County is an inde­pen­dent, non-profit char­ity that is rec­og­nized as the area’s leader in ani­mal wel­fare. Our ded­i­cated staff and vol­un­teers pro­vide com­pas­sion and care to thou­sands of pets each year through a vari­ety of services.

Through low-cost spay/neuter clin­ics we are proac­tively address­ing the prob­lem of pet over­pop­u­la­tion in order to cre­ate a humane com­mu­nity. Our unique fos­ter care pro­gram allows to us save even more lives while our part­ner­ships with other res­cues and shel­ters help us place an ever increas­ing num­ber of ani­mals in per­ma­nent and lov­ing homes. Out­reach adop­tion sites and activ­i­ties also take our ani­mals into the com­mu­nity where they belong.

We value our vol­un­teers, mem­bers, and sup­port­ers as impor­tant con­trib­u­tors to the work that we do. Through work­ing together, we can achieve our vision of cre­at­ing a humane com­mu­nity where all animals are protected and wanted.
