About Us
Health Care Without Walls mission is to improve the lives of women and families who are homeless or marginally housed through quality health care, education and advocacy. HCWW recruits and trains physicians from the community to go into shelters for poor, homeless and battered women and families and to give free medical care right in the shelter. We currently have 17 physicians providing free care in 7 different Boston area shelters. We also actively teach medical students and medical residents about caring for the homeless.
