Robert Rauschenberg Foundation

  • About Us

Formed by the artist in 1990, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation fosters the legacy of the artist’s life, work, and philosophy that art can change the world. We operate in three core areas: management of Rauschenberg’s art and scholarship; philanthropic grants to organizations and individuals; and administering an artists’ residency in Captiva, Florida. The foundation supports initiatives at the intersection of arts + issues, which embody the fearlessness, innovation, and multidisciplinary approach that Rauschenberg exemplified in both his art and philanthropic endeavors.
