Women's International League for Peace & Freedom is the oldest international women's peace organization in the world, founded in 1915 by Jane Addams and a group of international women peace activists. We've been connecting economic justice and human rights to the roots of war ever since. We have sections in 36 countries. The US Section has a long history and 40 branches across the nation. We work on peace, human rights, environmental, democracy and economic justice issues. We seek out and empower emerging women activists. Our at-large and branch members fuel our organization from the bottom up and follow their passions for system change within the mission and principles of WILPF.
