ONE Lowell of Lowell, Massachusetts

ONE Lowell unifies and therefore magnifies the voices of newcomers through a common, shared vision, builds networks and bridges across ethnic groups, addresses the political and social inequities in the city, and is mandated to inform, educate, mobilize and empower newcomer groups. We organize around those issues of common concern for newcomers and promote citizenship and voting as means of political empowerment through education, issue campaigns, and voter registration. We also partner with the Lowell public school system to provide culturally and linguistically compatible outreach to the parents of at-risk, truant immigrant and refugee youth who are struggling with the American school system.
