    About the Buhai Center:

    Founded in 1982, the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law’s staff and pro bono volunteers provide free family law education and legal services to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County, including assistance with dissolution, child custody and support, visitation, parentage, and domestic violence restraining orders.

    Our Mission:

    We ensure meaningful access to justice in the family law courts by providing free legal services, education, and advocacy for low-income residents of Los Angeles County. Our work empowers our clients to protect themselves and their children from domestic violence, poverty, housing insecurity, and other barriers to lasting stability.
